Enjoy a number of facilities when booking a group stay in the main house:
- The Great Room: relax in a beautiful room complete with a private bar; have a drink by the fire or enjoy the spectacular views of Lough Arrow, The Bricklieve Mountains, and The Carrowkeel Tombs in our dining area.
The Great Room can also provide comfortable seating for workshops around the wood stove. It has a large projector screen that can be used for presentations along with a projector that can be connected to laptops. Guests are welcome to use the kettle with tea/coffee all day, and we also serve afternoon “tea” with light snacks.
- Surrounding gardens and farm.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the gardens and the farm around the lodge. We have recently planted an orchard of apple, pear, plum, peach, and cherry trees. We also created a permaculture spiral herb garden, and we are constructing a polytunnel that will allow Ballaghboy Lodge Farm to be one step closer to being self-sufficient and self-sustaining by being able to grow our own organic food year round. The chicken coop is also underway. There are two rescue donkeys, “Easter Bunny “and “Eeyore”, living on the farm, along with our flock of sheep, and cat Pepi. Bees are coming in the spring!
